CRE opens new moulding and fibre optic assembly facility

CRE completes Phase 1 of its expansion programme to significantly increase capacity at their Aberdeen manufacturing facility. Phase 1 has provided the business with a new moulding facility, delivering a 100% increase in production capacity, a new dedicated fibre optic assembly facility and a R & D facility with hyperbaric, electrical and signal testing capabilities, which will enable the business to offer a unique level of performance during product development and production manufacturing.

Robin Mair, Managing Director of CRE, stated “This increase in capacity and capability allows us to secure new opportunities and deliver these opportunities in-house.

The vision and support of our shareholders over the last three years has been outstanding and has enabled us to focus all our efforts on our growth strategy.

Fortunately, we are in the enviable position of being able to continue to invest in our business during these turbulent times which has allowed us to both increase capacity and reduce our lead times. We already see the benefit of these changes with many of our customers moving to just in time deliveries as they lower their inventory levels as part of their strategy to reduce their working capital requirements.”
