CRE cables on drill support and vessel based ROV for world’s deepest well by water depth

Oil company Total E&P Uruguay plan to drill the Raya-1 field in 3,400 metres water depth. Fugro is supplying two state-of-the-art 200hp FCV 4000D work-class ROV systems and subsea tooling. They will be installed on board the Maersk Venturer drilling ship and a field support vessel. CRE have manufactured the majority of the electrical and signal cable harnesses used on the ROV systems.

CRE are specialists in the manufacture of deep water cable harnesses and connector systems for extreme underwater projects such as ROV’s and submersibles. CRE connectors and cable systems have been tested to 6,000metres and are in use in many of the world’s deepest marine projects.
